Found on bark and occasionally rocks.

The foliose thalli are up to 10 mm across and may coalesce to form large colonies.

The lobes are yellowish or greenish yellow above and white underneath with white rhizines.

The narrow lobes have incised margins.

There are soredia on the margins, and sometimes on the surface of the lobes.

Pycnidia are common.

The rare apotheca are up to 1 mm with a dark yellow disc.
