Abutilon x hybridum.
Some species plants are available in Australia but almost all plants seen are what are known as Garden Abutilons.
This is a large group of uncertain origin but Abutilon pictum is probably the parent of many of the hybrids and cultivars.

A sparse shrub up to 4.5 m high with branches that can scramble over other vegetation.
Its dark green leaves are deeply divided into pointed lobes like a maple leaf.
Solitary flowers have orange petals with dark red veins.
Hybrids.
These evergreen shrubs are 0.5 to 4.5 m high and 1.5 to 3 m wide.
They can be sparse or compact.
The usually smooth dark green leaves are 8 to 15 cm long.
Edges can be toothed or have up to 5 lobes.
The solitary axillary flowers are up to 8 cm across.
The corolla can be narrow to widely flared.
There are some with pink or red sepals.
Most flowers are various shades of yellow, orange or red as well as white.
