Macrozamia macleayi.

The trunk can be underground or up to 40 cm high.

There are up to 70 shiny, flat, green leaves up to 2 m long.
Leaves are once divided into up to 150 pairs of leaflets.

Leaflets taper at the base of the leaf and are reduced to spines.
The bottom 15 cm of the leaf stalk is smooth.

The simple leaflets have a pointed tip.

Female cones are ovoid, up to 25 cm long and 10 cm wide.
Megasporopohylls have an apical spine up to 4 cm long.

The seeds have a red covering.
